In the Startup Innovation Week 2022, we interacted with StudyAtHome team and had some words. We sent a list of questions to their Founder CA Raj K Agrawal and got inspiring answers from him.

Q&A with Founders feat. CA Raj K Agrawal (Founder StudyAtHome)
Q.1 What was your journey as a CA and entrepreneur?
I am a qualified Chartered Accountant with an All India 27th Rank in 2008. I opted for Teaching as a career since the beginning of My professional journey. I was always endowed with the passion to win, My excellence in academics and My teaching profession reflected the same. Since 2008 I am evolving education through My offline learning institute based in Varanasi. Although, I was touring across India and abroad for preparing future-ready professionals and educate youngsters to make them ready for the jobs. I was coaching and mentoring Youth for preparations of professional courses.
In the Year 2014, Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister of India and he has changed the whole scenario of the Indian perspective through his innovative approach and programs like Digital India and Startup India. At this time I also felt the power of online platforms and initiated with bootstrapping of an EdTech Startup “Study At Home”.
In the Year 2018, I initiated My Startup “Study At Home” and soon I got recognition from the DPIIT also as an EduTech Startup.
Q.2 What was the purpose behind founding Study At Home?
The purpose has always been to provide quality education to all students across the globe at an affordable price.
Not just this, Study At Home being an E-Learning platform desires to give quality masterclasses for education, skill development, professional studies, preparations of the jobs and corporate training, etc.
Covid-19 pandemic has changed the entire scenario of education worldwide and EdTech Startups like Study At Home became more significant and suitable for Education. Education at Ease is like an opportunity today and Study at Home with its innovative platform helps the learners across the globe in this New Era of Education.
The courses are offered through the Website and Android App. It has launched its “Study At Home Learning App” android app in December 2020. This is an affordable option for Educating Yourself as compared to offline education.
From this platform CA Raj K Agrawal evolved Masterclasses for Skill Development, CBSE Class 8 to 12, NTSE & Olympiad, JEE & NEET, B.Com, M.Com & BBA, Banking, SSC, Railway, CA, CS, CMA, CFA, FRM, AILET, LLB, and LLM, etc. Today more than 100 leading Educators educate more than 50,000 students spread across India, UAE, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Nepal.
Q.3 What makes Study At Home different from other education platforms and apps?
We seek to provide quality professional classes to the masses all across India & abroad at a much affordable cost at the comfort of their home. With an eye on business expansion, the company plans to expand its operations through possible tie-ups with national and international service providers in the areas of online education. The company is also focusing on collaborating with EdTech giants concerning B2B transactions which will help it to reach out to the unserved population looking for the benefits of E-Learning.
Q.5 What is your team size?
We have a team size of almost 25 people who are qualified and have expertise in their fields as they come from various domains.
Q.6 Studyathome is associated with different education platforms like Unacademy, Celebrityschool, Socialswag, etc. What is the purpose behind that?
The purpose behind this is to provide courses to students which are yet not created in-house by Study At Home.
Q.7 Can you say that we are the best in the market in the teaching of CA, CMA, CS (and similar to them) courses?
Yes, no doubt Study At Home stands tall in the market as we bring to students teaching done by highly qualified professional faculties who are always on demand and are most loved by students.
Unlike other platforms Study At Home is not just limited to providing academic courses but we also provide Value added courses like Tally, Stock Market, MS Excel, PowerPoint, Financial Modelling and Digital Marketing, etc.

Q.8 Why do you offer validity-based courses?
Well, many of our courses are related to Law, which brings in frequent amendments. So it is not practical or ethical for any EdTech company to provide old or un-amended video lectures.
Q.9 What is the main value of the certificates that a student earns after completing the course from the app?
Amongst many other advantages, the certificates will bring in extra weightage in the employability of the students as the institute providing certificate is eligible business as per Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India.
Q.10 What was the main key that helped you to win National Startup Award 2021 under the Education and Skill Development category.

Q.11 Any lead investor of your Startup?
– Few good ANGEL INVESTORS.
Q.12 Is your Startup using any different or new technology?
Indeed! The new or different technology used by Study At Home is providing Window-based learning without an internet connection.
Q.13 Most people think that CA is ultra-hard and somehow impossible, any advice, guide, or comment regarding this statement?
What I believe is that no exams are tough or difficult, it’s just a matter of fact that how you look at it. Student needs to understand the complexity of every course and the right way of studying. I always advise that if proper guidelines and appropriate coaching facilities are provided to students, passing the exams would be not that difficult. The structure of this course is undoubtedly complex and immense, but it is not the toughest one. The decision of choosing the right faulty for preparation is of great importance.
Also, there are certain benefits too if you are choosing offline learning as the coaching institute provides excellent infrastructure, highly experienced and skilled faculty, and specially designed study programmes that ensure success.
Last but not least I want to say that – Whether or not you succeed in what you do depends on your level of preparedness, and that is true for all walks of life.
Q.14 Any advice for young entrepreneurs?
Entrepreneurs, it has been said, are those who see opportunities where others see only problems. They turn obstacles into stepping stones. They are the catalysts of progress, the forces that change society for the better. Spectacularly sometimes, imperceptibly most of the time. Yet the imperceptible changes are cumulative.
